Wisconsin has over 15,000 lakes, 43,000 miles of streams, and 650 miles of Great Lake shoreline.  Plenty of elbow room for boating and fishing through-out the state.  For more, see Wisconsin Lakes.

Created by the Wisconsin legislature in 1967, the Department of Natural Resources is responsible for a wide range of duties extending from regulation of hunting and fishing to the protection of the beautiful Wisconsin environment.  Many out-of-state anglers come to Wisconsin to experience fishing adventure on pristine inland lakes, interesting rivers, or one of their two Great Lakes.
