“The mission of the North Dakota Game and Fish Department is to protect, conserve and enhance fish and wildlife populations and their habitat for sustained public consumptive and appreciative use.”   North Dakota Game and Fish Department

Since 1909, the State of North Dakota has overseen the needed management of fish and wildlife populations within the state.  At the onset, many species were on the verge of extinction.  But with careful governance, the state has become a well-managed venue for outdoor recreation.
