State Fish: *No official state fish (open for election…)
State Bird: Cardinal
State Tree: Yellow Poplar
State Flower: Peony
In a state that is considered the “crossroads for America”, you can find plenty of opportunity for outdoor life. Hoosiers don’t have an official state fish, but they have some nice choices if they want to run a candidate for the honored position. Maybe it should be the Micropterus Salmoides (that would be the Largemouth Bass).
