Ok - so DNRguide listed the Red Herring as the official fish for D.C. We were unsure of the official fish, so we offered up this possibility. But really, you can’t catch one of these here, but you can unexpectedly receive one or two - usually in some sort of public assembly. Good eating? Well that’s not necessarily the giver’s intent, so be prepared for a fishy taste.
